St. Augustine's Paranormal Night Tour:
Investigate the Old Jail After Dark
Step into the shadows of St. Augustine’s Old Jail and experience the thrill of a real paranormal investigation. Our nighttime tour offers an exclusive two-hour and 30-minute journey into one of the most haunted buildings in the country. Known for its dark history, the Old Jail housed prisoners from 1891 to 1953, during which time countless stories of cruelty and death emerged. It’s no wonder that many believe this place to be a hot spot for supernatural activity.
As Seen on Ghost Hunters and Kindred Spirits!
The Old Jail has earned a reputation as one of the most haunted buildings in the country. Paranormal enthusiasts and TV crews alike have investigated this eerie site, as seen on popular shows like Ghost Hunters and Kindred Spirits. This historic jail’s dark past and ghostly presence have drawn the attention of experts, making it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the supernatural.
Before Your Investigation Begins...
Before your ghost hunt kicks off, our expert guides will share key investigative techniques to prepare you for any strange phenomena you might encounter. You’ll be equipped with an array of traditional and modern ghost-hunting tools, and you’re welcome to bring your own equipment as well.
After the investigation, our team will help you evaluate your findings, ruling out logical explanations and letting you decide whether the Old Jail is truly haunted.
TIP: Don’t forget to bring your cell phone. Your cell phone is an all-in-one ghost-hunting tool. Not only is it great for capturing photographic evidence, its audio recorder is almost professional-grade and is great for capturing electronic voice phenomenon (EVP).
Ghost Hunting Equipment You'll Use
K2 EMF Meter
Professional ghost hunters use a variety of equipment to detect and communicate with spirits. The Old Jail After Dark offers investigators the opportunity to use some of the most popular tools of the trade to search out the supernatural inside the most haunted building in Florida, the Old Jail. Here is a sample of the equipment you will be trained to use by our expert lead investigators. The K2 meter is a popular, easy-to-use tool to detect spikes in electromagnetic energy. These spikes, indicated by the multi-color lights at the top of the meter, may signify activity or communication from spirits from the other side.
Flux 2 Paranormal Response Device
The Flux 2 paranormal communication device utilizes multiple environmental sensors to determine a response based on location of motion, distance and temperature changes. The Flux device includes two highly sensitive infrared laser motion and distance sensors. These sensors provide quick and precise measurements of movement and distance.
Spirit Box SB11
Seen on Ghost Adventures, The P-SB11 Spirit Box is a great tool with great features for attempting communication with paranormal entities. It uses radio frequency sweeps to generate white noise which theories suggest gives some entities the energy they need to be heard. When this occurs you will sometimes hear voices or sounds coming through the static in an attempt to communicate.
FLIR Thermal Camera
The FLIR Thermal Camera takes you beyond the limitations of single-spot IR thermometers, allowing you to see the hot and cold spots quickly and accurately.
Dowsing Rods
The activity of dowsing has been used for centuries to find everything from precious gemstones to ground water. Many people have also used it to demonstrate the presence of ghosts and other unseen beings. After learning the feel of the rods, people who practice dowsing believe subtle movements indicate the presence of unseen energies.
GS2 Laser Grid System
Imagine being able to map out everything you wanted to know about the physical aspects of a ghost or any anomaly that passes in front of you. Well, now you can! This laser grid system can tell us direction, distance, temperature, shape, size and even helps us make a 3D model of the entity. Utilizing our original laser grid projector now combined with an array of over 65 sensor points, this mapping system gives us more information than ever before.
